Betsy Dillard Stroud Workshop - Betsy will be teaching a mixed media workshop which uses a combination of watermedia, collage materials and other products to create innovative and dynamic paintings. The fee for the workshop is $370 for five days of instruction, beginning on June 23rd through the 27th. The class will be limited to 16 people.

Ben Owen III Workshop - entry deadline May 31, 2008

Ben Owen III will host a demonstration workshop on June 23,2008 at the Trinity Methodist Church in Southport, NC. The workshop will be held in Fellowship Hall, a large multi purpose room from 9-4PM and includes lunch.

 

 


The 27th Annual July National Exhibition reception and awards

Pictured are the judges and some of the artists honored at this year's July National Exhibition awards reception at Franklin Square Gallery.



Our 3D judge this year was Doug Gray, an Associate Professor at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. Rick Mclure, an award-winning painter and teacher for more than 25 years, served as our 2D judge.



JoAnn Staat, National Show Chairman, presents Roger Cates the Best in Show award for his pastel, Brunswick Oaks. JoAnn and Phillis Riley, present the Rupert Riley Memorial Award to Sally Bullers, for her work, Organic Progression #3

Other artists attending the reception were also presented awards such as Merit Award winner Donna Slade for Crimson Column, Honorable Mention award winners Joyce Grazetti for Melange a Trois and Carol Hovey for Chinese Friends.
